You're sitting in someone else's aircraft, or at a colleague's radio that uses the common standard twin jack — and your MicroAvionics Powered headset (UL-101/UL-303, 7-pin bayonet) doesn't simply plug in? This adapter breaks your Powered headset out to two jack plugs (PJ-068 headphone + PJ-055 microphone), the connector type you'll find on countless radios. That way you can take your familiar headset anywhere. Think of it as a bridging/transitional solution: the standard connector doesn't carry power from the control unit, so the headset then needs to be charged externally on the desktop charger (the UL headsets don't charge via USB).
