Picture the moment: the engine's running, the wind is howling around the open cockpit, and you want to give your student a heads-up about the circuit – but shouting gets you nowhere. That's exactly where the connection adapter comes in: it pairs two MicroAvionics powered headsets (UL-101/UL-303) directly with each other to form a portable intercom – with no active intercom unit required. Plug in both headsets, and you can understand each other despite the noise and wind. As soon as you also want to reach the radio (or music, a second radio, phone), the active intercom unit comes into play – but for simply talking to each other, you don't need it.
You need this if you want to talk to a fellow flyer but don't (yet) have an active intercom unit for the radio connection – the quick solution for tandem flights and instruction. Two powered headsets form a portable intercom this way, with no unit required. If you also want to use the radio (or music, a second radio, phone), you'll need the active intercom unit for that.
Connects two MicroAvionics powered headsets (UL-101/UL-303, 7-pin bayonet connector) directly to each other to form a portable intercom. Headsets with a different connector won't fit without a further adapter – if in doubt, tell us your headset models.
Included: the connection adapter with two headset connections, ready to use straight away. You'll need to supply the two headsets yourself.
